Inspired by a stalwart, vintage Korean War Naval deck sweater, we are so excited that our 100% wool deck sweater is back!

For our latest iteration, we couldn’t help but be inspired by the archive of Fall River Knitting Mill, our new sweater knitting partner in neighboring Fall River, Massachusetts. These guys have been making sweaters for over 100 years and know a thing or two about the classics.

Our mock neck this time around features a roll-neck detail, which we think is the perfect twist for something new in the new year. This unisex piece has become a daily staple around here and it holds its shape beautifully through consecutive days (er, weeks) of wear. An ever so slightly dropped shoulder, gently tapered waist and a roomy body make for a truly easy to wear silhouette. Made of imported outerwear wool, which is always ready to take a beating, yet somehow manages to look impeccable dusted off before an important meeting.

Lofty without being super thick, we love how well this piece layers as the temperatures yo-yo up and down, which seems to be the new normal here in southern New England. We recommend ordering your normal size, or the size you’ve previously ordered, unless you are looking for an especially roomy or slim fit. If you’re sensitive to wool that isn’t super soft, you might find you need to wear a soft layer under at first— any wiry feeling sections soften up with break in. This wool has a lovely hand feel and truly gets softer and better with time and wear
