A hybrid of our best selling Sargent & Slim Slouch dungarees, this dungaree manages to hit all the right places with a comfortable, broken in feel. Our newest fit in the Madame X, the Women’s Fit, is so named because it’s designed with a woman’s body in mind. Rather than simply grade our Madame X to a larger size range, we recognize women’s bodies are all different shapes, and this is especially true as we grade up in size. Using your feedback and measurements, we dialed this pattern to offer a touch more ease through the waist and hips, but keeping the same lovely silhouette the Madame X is known for.

As with all of our dungarees, this 13 oz denim begins at an iconic workwear mill in the Southeast—we know that by supporting American-made denim we’re also supporting American jobs & supporting rural economies. From the mill, this denim travels a short distance to our small town factory in TN, where the same team of talented seamstresses who used to make Levi’s & Carhartt pre-NAFTA, hand cut & sew each pair. Finally, en route to our farm coast shop/studio, this dungaree makes a quick stop outside NYC where a team of wash whiz kids do an eco-friendly stonewash, which we perfected to not destroy garments, and to use less energy & waste. This genius process makes it possible to create the drape and soft hand necessary to pattern sizes above our usual range.
